8. Security & Compliance

How we protect patient data — and your role in keeping it secure.

🔐 HIPAA Compliance Is Non-Negotiable

As a certified Patient Coordinator with Rewaken Life, you are operating under a system designed to meet HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) standards. This means every touchpoint with a patient — from intake forms to follow-ups — must protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient information.

You are legally and contractually responsible for handling all patient data with the highest standard of discretion and security.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Never collecting or storing patient health data on personal devices (e.g., saving forms, photos, or screenshots).

  • Always using the official Rewaken Life platform for communication, consent forms, and medical intake.

  • Avoiding communication of protected health information (PHI) through text, WhatsApp, DMs, or non-secure email.

  • Logging out of systems when not in use and keeping login credentials private.

  • Immediately reporting any suspected breach or data error to: support@rewakenlife.com.

Platform Security

Rewaken Life uses encrypted, secure infrastructure to manage patient data and prescription workflows. The system is cloud-based, password-protected, and monitored for unauthorized access.

You are not required to manage any backend security systems — but you must use the platform as designed.
